Music at St. Andrew's
Music ministry at St. Andrew’s, under the direction of our Director of Music, Sean Glennon, includes an Adult Choir, a Children’s Choir, a Handbell Choir, Parish Soloists & Instrumentalists and Guest Musicians. Additionally, St. Andrew's hosts benefit concerts and outside music groups as a form of charity and outreach.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir enhances our Sunday worship services by giving Glory to God through the singing of hymns and anthems in a variety of forms and styles. In addition to weekly offerings during the season of Ordinary Time, the choir provides special music for Advent, Christmas (including a children's pageant, Christmas Eve, and Lessons & Carols), Lent, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, and the Easter season. Under Sean's direction, the choir has sung cantatas and concertos, and has participated in services and events such as Bishop Gates' installation; numerous ecumenical thanksgiving services; and diocesan compline and Triduum services including Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday.
The choir rehearses each Sunday morning at 9am in the parish hall from the Sunday after Labor Day through Memorial Day weekend. New members always welcome.
