Having a Mindful Lent . . . 50+ ideas to consider during the 40 days of Lent 
  • Send a friend a card or note out of the blue 
  • Join the Choir 
  • Take on a daily reading discipline – read the Episcopal News Service (https://episcopalnewsservice.org/)
  • Clean out your car 
  • Feed the birds 
  • Sit in a different pew 
  • Bring a friend to church 
  • Clear out a junk drawer 
  • Set an alarm on your phone, and zone out until it rings 
  • Memorize a favorite psalm 
  • Pick up litter 
  • Unsubscribe from useless emails 
  • Block notifications on your devices 
  • Try a different news source 
  • Subscribe to a magazine or newspaper you’ve never tried

  • Expand your vocabulary 
  • Attend Daily prayer on-line - with an Episcopal church or another denomination

  • Go swimming – find an indoor pool 
  • Change your spending habits
