A Six-Week Inquirers' Series
Growing in faith. Asking good questions. Finding your place in God's story.
Whether you are brand new to St. Andrew's, exploring the Christian faith, returning to church after time away, considering Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage or Reception, or simply hoping to deepen your understanding of the Episcopal Church, Becoming Episcopalian is an invitation to discover the richness of our tradition while deepening friendships and community connections while discovering new insights into what it means to be God’s people and to follow Jesus.
This is also an opportunity to spend time together beyond Sunday mornings—to listen, laugh, wonder, and learn from one another. Becoming Episcopalian will provide the opportunity for questions and conversation, to share experiences and insights, or to simply be present at church in a different way.
Together we'll explore what Episcopalians believe, how we worship, why we pray the way we do, the Book of Common Prayer, the sacraments, Scripture, the Church year, and what it means to live a joyful, compassionate Christian life in today's complicated world.
We'll use Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs & Practices as our guide, but no prior knowledge is expected.
Bring your questions. Bring your curiosity. Bring your whole self.
Whether you've wondered why some Episcopalians stand, kneel, and cross themselves; how we understand the Bible; why we baptize infants; or how faith intersects with everyday life, this series is designed to be a place of honest conversation, thoughtful learning, and shared discovery.
SIX Wednesdays • 7:00–8:30 p.m.
September 23 – October 28
Attend in person at St. Andrew's or online via Zoom. We'll make it easy for everyone to participate, wherever you are.
Everyone is welcome. Whether you're discerning membership, preparing for Confirmation or Reception, or simply curious about the Episcopal Church, we'd be delighted to welcome you.
